171212 - Here (later than I had wanted) are the solutions to your midterm exam.

171204 - The sample problems are posted here. You should make sure you understand this material, as it will be fair game for the final exam, in addition to everything from the first part of the term.

171130 - Your submissions for Team Project 1 are now uploaded here - You should look through all of them for ideas for both the RASC-AL proposal material and to start thinking about next term's project.

171130 - There won't be any more homework assignments - you should spend the remaining time working on Team Project 2 and the abstract/video for RASC-AL. I will be posting problems and solutions for the sections not covered by homework (PPT, crew systems, and avionics) and you WILL be responsible for that material on the final exam, so be sure to look them over carefully and make sure you understand the material ahead of time.

171120 - Okay, so I'm backed up on problem sets again. I will give one more problem set with both crew systems and power/propulsion/themal questions in it, due a week from Thursday. The Avionics lectures will be too late in the year to arrange a problem set cycle on those, but you WILL need the material next term in 484! Also, while the official due date for the second Team Project is still the last day of class (Thursday, Dec. 7), any team which wants to spend more time on it can turn it in as late as reading day (Tuesday, Dec. 12) without penalty.

171105 - All of the solutions are posted (sorry again for the delay). Since I hear that this coming week is going to be challenging for all of your other courses, I've moved back the due dates for upcoming problem sets to next week.

171031 - I have come to realize that I'm not going to get all of the solution sets posted in time for you to use them to study for the midterm; therefore, I'm going to move the midterm one last time to next Tuesday, 11/7. I will be posting solution sets for the next couple of days, so you'll have the weekend to study. Also, please turn in your Team Project 1 files (e-mail to me, Dr. Becnel, and Phil) by the close of the day tomorrow, which would be midnight somewhere in America. (You can get it done by midnight Hawaii time if you really need to, but I'm hoping you won't need to.)

171026 - Here is a copy of a recent midterm exam with solutions. Your midterm will be on Thursday, 11/2. You may bring one 8.5"x11" piece of paper (both sides) for notes of your choice. Bring a calculator, but you may NOT use calculator apps on cell phones, or any other device which is internet-, wifi-, or cell phone-enabled. Also, from here on out problem sets will be associated with topic areas, not individual lectures.

171018 - Sorry, I'm on travel and my internet access is flaky at best. You should be able to download the problems for lectures 10 and 11 now.

171017 - I apologize for the delay in the problem sets - this has been a challenging term for me in many respects, and I'm sorry that this aspect of the course has been the thing to suffer most. I WILL be posting the problems sets today, and they'll be due next Tuesday. I think the only fair thing to do is to move the mid-term back a week to Nov. 2, so there's time to get your assignments back to you and post the solution sets with time to study. Also note that the mid-term will be on lectures 1-11, rather than 1-12. Bear with me - we'll get the assignments back on track ASAP.
